Nissan of the Eastside in Bellevue did not make my dreams come true

I Love my Nissan, but the experience wasn't what I would call a good dream!  It was a Saturday afternoon about 2pm when we walked into Nissan of the Eastsode in Bellevue, WA.  Alan greeted us (as all car dealers do).  Seemed like a nice guy and all.  Whatever.  We looked at a few models and decided on the 2009 XTerra with 15K miles.  The payments were going to be about $50 more than I wanted to make, but I figured this would last awhile so I took it.  Alan mentioned that often times you can arrange for your first payment to be 60-90 days after the purchase so I figured that would give me some time to pay down the lame $500 credit card I have and then start payments fresh and clean.

Well it all changed once Bart and I entered the finance office.  Sean seemed a little tired and possibly upset when we walked in, but soon was smiling (at the end he said it was because we were so pleasant - yeah right!) I began signing papers - you know how it is.  During this time he says he is checking many financial institutions for the best rate, but most of them had gone home (It was 5pm on a saturday) and he would know more on Monday.  The current rate is better than I had on my focus, but who knows - could get better.  We signed everything and received the keys.  Cleaned out the focus and drove off with Iron Maiden in the CD Player.  I fully expected more discussion on the finance rate and payment date since Sean was waiting for more replies.  I expected a call in the next couple days.

Monday came and went. Tuesday came and went.  Wednesday came and went.  No news from Sean.  I am very curious about the loan rate and the payment plan.  I headed to Nissan on Thursday and Sean wasn''t in yet.  A gentleman in an office offered to call Sean on his cell phone so I was able to speak to him.  Alan approaches at this time and begins listening to me on the phone with Sean.  I ask Sean about the loan rate and he says he couldn't get anything better and the current paperwork is it.  OK - i can handle that.  Now I mention to him what Alan says about the payment date - While Sean says "No. That's not possible and i have no idea why Alan would say something liek that!" Alan is staring at me shaking his head like he never said anything of the sort.  Well this gets my blood boiling a bit, but I stay calm.  I thank Sean and hang up.  Am I crazy?  I KNOW he said that.  I give Alan the extra key to the focus as promised and ask him about a hook that goes in the rail in the back of the focus.  It's for attaching a really cool net to hold things in place and I want the set.  He claims it was in the Nissan when it was sold to us.  I vehemently tell him that NO - it wasn't.  We walk to the parts guy who can't find the part in his computer. (frankly, I think he had facebook up or something because he couldn't find costs for ANY part I asked about) WTF?!  Alan said he would find one for me, but it's beena week and I haven't heard anything from Alan.

I went home with no hook and my 1st payment due on July 6th - the same day as Rent.  NOT GOOD!  I emailed Sean for some help on Friday on how to change my payment to the 22nd instead of the 6th.  Well he can't help me there either.  I have to pay this one early, call the bank and change the date.  Wow Sean - thanks for your help!

I asked Bart about the comment Alan made, then denied.  He confirmed Alan did say that.  I talked with my brother about it - he said his payments didn't start for at least 60 days.  Now I have a very bad taste in my mouth - they basically took me for a ride and I don't really know what to do next.  I think what's going to happen is I will walk into the dealership this weekend and blow up.  Probably not the best move, but what choice do I have?

If you can be a big scary looking man - wanna go with me?
